Is the 21st the End? Not Likely, but Here's a Positive Lesson from the Hype

Technology Independent Preservation Protects Memories

At Red River Paper, we really don't think the world will end on December 21st. But the concept of sudden change, from predictions of doom to simple hard drive failure, reminds us how important it is to have the best of your images saved for the future. That means protecting them from the vagaries of technological change. Remember the floppy disk? Good luck easily retrieving data from one now! Our point is that it is unwise to trust today's file formats and storage devices will always be available. If you want to preserve your memories you really need to make a print. You kids and grandkids will appreciate the effort.

Cold Weather Printing Tip

When your paper order arrives, bring the box inside and allow the product to reach room temperature before using. Allowing the paper to slowly acclimatize to your environment before use will minimize curl, rippling, and other problems associated with temperature changes.

Don't let the cold weather get you down. Read our cold weather printing tips.
