Known Issues

  • The 2200 does not work well with glossy photo feel paper like UltraPro Gloss or Polar Gloss. You can use glossy paper, but be prepared for a "3D" effect in dark areas and a shimery reflection in areas of pure white. See our hints above to recommended settings when using glossy paper.
  • You cannot use a cast coated gloss with pigment inks. These are older sheets with a plain paper backing - sheets we use for greeting card stocks. Print greetings and invitations on matte or watercolor paper only.
  • Allow prints made on the 2200 to dry 24 hours before mailing or handling. The ink is dry enough to touch and will not smear immediately after printing. However, fingerprints and ink offsetting to other sheets can occur for a few hours after printing.
