Protecting Your Prints

To achieve maximum print life, follow these guidelines. Atmospheric contaminants, as much as light, play a role in image fade. Protection from the elements will make your prints last longer.

* Display prints under glass or plastic and away from direct light.
* Spray coatings are also great for protection against atmospheric pollutants
* Keep prints away from humid conditions
* If you're framing your image allow prints to dry for at least 24 hours. To facilitate drying, you can cover each print with a piece of copy paper. For dye based inks, store new prints in a plastic bag for 24 hours - this helps protect inks from moving air while they set.
