The Maintenance tab is important and sometimes overlooked by users.

Status Monitor - this starts Epson's Status Monitor tool, which will report the ink levels of your tanks as well as the current status of the printer.

Auto Nozzle Check and Cleaning - a one step checkup and nozzle maintenance that should be performed when print quality declines. Look for white lines or fuzzy edges in your printer as these indicate clogged nozzles or misaligned heads.

Nozzle Check - manual version of above

Head Cleaning - manual version of above

Print Head Alignment - this utility will print a series of charts that you use realign the heads. This process takes a few minutes and requires you to judge printed lines and boxes for which look "best". It can be a little subjective, so take your time and your results will be better.

Printer and Option Information - rarely if ever used except to diagnose major problems.
