Panoramic prints using Illustrator and in some cases Photoshop

Thanks to our customer Clay M in Georgia for this solution.

First, you must set the paper dimensions to under 13", like 12.95" in the custom paper setting in page setup. This is an epson driver/hardware issue. Second, Illustrator has some kind of issue in printing. No matter what I have done, the printing always starts somewhere within the image and doesn't give a full print, or strangely reverts to the "panorama" setting and prints an 8 inch wide 26 inch long print. Since I work almost exclusively in Illustrator, I have discovered a
workaround. I output in .pdf and place the file in inDesign. In the page setup area of inDesign, it is necessary to set a custom paper size under 13" in width, minimize the borders, and select "Any Printer," instead of epson 2200. Then it prints beautifully. This probably works in Photosho for rasterized images.

Epson print utility becomes corrupt after major OS X system update

The utility program used for head cleaning, alignment, and ink level reports can fail after OS X upgrades.

This fix is from a Macfixit.com user:

"Drag the Epson Print Utility to the desktop (while holding down the option key), copying the application, not just moving it. Then drag it back from whence it came, replacing the original you had copied to the desktop.

"Voila! The utility worked again. I am guessing that copying somehow rebuilds the app. Whatever it does, I now know which ink I am out of and can align my heads"
