Tips » Color Profiles and Photoshop Elements 3
Here is a quick look at the color profile interface of Photoshop Elements
3. It is a bit different than full Photoshop, but certainly offers all
of the parts necessary for profile use.
To begin, we are going to modify the color settings of Photoshop Elements.
This means we are taking it out of "auto-pilot" mode to some extent, and
will apply a little more depth to the color management preferences.
Although the change is not totally necessary for profile usage, we feel
it is best based on experience.
Stop! If you are uncomfortable with changing system settings of this
program - stop here!
| 1) Go to the Edit Menu » Color Settings |
 |
2) Choose the Full Color Management setting.
In short, this assigns the Adobe RGB working space as the primary
working space for Photoshop. It is the preferred space for most users
of full Photoshop and is best for inkjet printing in general.
You will be given an option every time you open a file to use Adobe
RGB, the space embedded in the file, or no assigned space.

3) When you print an image, the Print
with Preview menu appears.
Check the "Show More Option" box near bottom left
Use the Print Space drop down menu to chooe the printer profile
you need.
Under Intent, you can choose either Relative Colorimetric or Perceptual.
At this point, you move on to your printer's properties and set
them up as indicated by our profile setup instructions located
here.
