Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss2 ink is the 2nd generation UltraChrome Hi-Gloss ink, offering vibrant, natural colours and long-lasting prints on a variety of media.

It is ideal for advanced amateur photographers and crafters looking for the highest possible gloss combined with the outstanding durability of pigmented inks. UltraChrome Hi-Gloss2 is an 8-colour inkset, it includes cyan, magenta, yellow, matte black, photo black, red, orange and gloss optimizer.

Expanded colour gamut

The orange ink ensures natural skin tones, a wide colour gamut for yellow tones, more vivid oranges and an expansion in the red colour gamut. The magenta and yellow inks have been reformulated and contribute to accurate blue and green tones.

Superior gloss finish

The gloss optimiser offers photographers a uniform smooth gloss finish. UltraChrome Hi-Gloss2 inks feature new clear gloss optimiser and new high-density transparent resin coating for coloured ink pigment particles. This results in a durable, ultra smooth finish with uniform reflective characteristics and an even more glossy finish than the previous UltraChrome Hi-Gloss inks.

Flexibility

UltraChrome Hi-Gloss2 ink prints onto glossy, matte and fine art paper in cut-sheet and roll format. The Photo Black ink is suitable for printing on all paper types and is optimized for photo paper. The Matte Black ink is optimized for matte papers: its particle density is higher than that of the other inks, allowing more particles to be placed onto the paper with one ink droplet. The result is a higher D-max for matte papers and respectively deeper blacks.
