The Client
Personal project on shape and line.

The Assignment
Photographically document unique buildings with unusual shapes in such a way as to make them fine art pieces not seen in the usual way.

The Execution
Nikon D3, 1/640th @ f14 24-70mm zoom at 24mm. Daylight color balance.

Post Production
“This image was enhanced greatly by very slightly altering the vibrance and clarity sliders in Lightroom. In a black and white version I was able to use Nik Software Silver Efex Pro to change the "soft contrast" and individually control highlight, midtone and shadow contrast and structure. No toning was applied.”

The Output
“For images I create that have a range of deep color, Red River’s UltraPro Satin is terrific. This paper has beautiful depth and the colors reproduce accurately– exactly the way I send them to my Canon Pixma Pro-1 printer. The surface is also ideal for this kind of work. I love it as much as I do Red River’s Palo Duro SoftGloss Rag which I use for my black and white work.”
