I'm in love!!

Bought the Polar Matte greeting cards and I really love the quality and the look and feel of this paper. So much so that I just ordered more!

Reviews for San Gabriel Baryta SemiGloss 2.0®

Elegant, rich paper

I had been hearing nice things about San Gabriel SemiGloss for some time. I was finally nudged into trying it by the recent favorable review @ Luminous Landscape. Now the only question is whether I will simply print everything on San Gabriel. The prospect is tempting, because this paper is exquisite. The only paper I'm familiar with that I find at all comparable is Canson Baryta Photographique. San Gabriel is not only less expensive, but to my eye equals or surpasses the Canson in all the qualities important to a fine print. I particularly love the subtle but clear separation in the mid-tones.

Great Paper but not a neutral color

I really like this paper a lot, everything from the surface to the weight. It is reminiscent of fiber-based dark room paper and makes for great prints. The white of the surface is a touch warm, but not by much.

why don't you offer 12x12 size of this product - is it not good to use for scrapbook pages? I have bought the 12x12 Ultra Premium Photo Paper Gloss for my scrapbook pages and like very much how they come out, but was wondering if this San Gabriel SemiGloss paper would be even better from my Epson Artisan 1430 printer.

Excellent For Perfect B&W Prints

I had been a real fan of Epson Exhibition Fiber until I ordered the sample pack and tried the San Gabriel Semi Gloss Fiber, this has now become my paper for all of my B&W work, it is not as bright as the Epson product which I prefer. Color images on the San Gabriel are also great. I use the paper on three Epson printers a 1900, 2000 and a 3880 and my customers love the prints on this paper.

Outstanding for both color and B&W

I had tried out a sample packet sometime ago and encountered some issues (magenta tint) for the B & W prints. Finally resolved the issue; I am printing on an Epson R3000, the tint resulted from using the Epson B&W setting for print. Should use the RRIcc to print BOTH color and B & W. I notice a difference in the print depending on the conversion to B & W algorithm used. Following Vincent Versace's chromatic grayscale conversion scheme gives me excellent results on San Gaberial paper. Is this a test of the paper's sensitivity to tone gradation? Great!
