Wide format inkjet printers (24" wide and wider) generally DO NOT USE SHEETS SMALLER THAN 8x10. This is set by the manufacturer and cannot be changed.

Outgassing

According to Epson, some framed inkjet prints may cause the glass to fog shortly after being mounted. The phenomenon (sometimes called Gas Ghosting) is caused by ink solvents drying and then forming on the glass. You can avoid this issue by making sure prints are totally dry before framing. Epson suggests that prints be left alone for 24 hours with a plain piece of paper on top of the print side. Multiple prints/papers can be stacked for drying.

If you have a fogged frame already, it can be easily cleaned with a damp rag. The problem should not occur again.

Inkjet Papers and the Effects of Cold Weather

You may notice feed problems or paper curl in cold environments where indoor heating systems run often. These heating systems remove much of the moisture from the air and also from any paper in the home or office. This can lead to curling and more static electricity build up in the paper stock. There are a couple of things you can do to minimize this problem:

1. Use a humidifier in the room where your printer is located. In a short time, you will notice any curled paper begin to flatten.

2. If you do not have a humidifier, try leaving a pan of water in the room which will help raise local humidity.
