Printing watercolor paintings
This is an amazing paper. I am using it in conjunction with an Epson XP-8700 paper and am using the 8x10 size. \n\n1. I love the 8x10 size. It is a perfect size to showcase a print and for a buyer to be easily able to frame the print.\n2. I feel the quality and weight - image and of the paper - are better than any of the high end Epson papers - Velvet Fine Art and Platine etc. It has a very natural look. I have been able to more accurately represent some colors that were giving me fits on other papers. Cerulean Blue for example is always hard to print correctly.\n3. The price is terrific.\n\nLike others, I could not find any reasonable print shops nearby that I would trust. A print is a work of art itself and should be treated as such.

Just a Suggestion

Brittany Daniel, Sep 02, 2026

I will start by saying that the paper is high quality and should be perfect for whatever print project you have. My review is based on the return policy. I accidently ordered the wrong paper and once you open the box you can no longer return it. However the only way to see the paper is to open the box. Instead of wrapping the box in plastic could i suggest wrapping the actual paper in plastic. That way as a consumer you can see the product without interfering with the factory packaging. Now I'm stuck with paper that will not work for my invites. And yes I reached out to customer service and there was nothing that could be done.

I use this matte paper for all my gallery work and feel that it does the job quite well. The colors are vibrant and the darks are rich.

Kenn Bisio, Aug 02, 2026

This is now my go-to paper. There are, literally, one million to choose from at Red River (a bit of a stretch). I am a simple man. I tested many papers and this one fits for my FotoOils and my B/W photojournalism.

These, with many others will be on display at the Bracci Gallery in Orvieto, Italia.

I have found a great resource with Red River and now I have settled on my one paper.

Grazie Mille Red River!!!
