First Impression

I test printed the 32lb. Premium Matte Double Sided on an Epson R1800 and was pleased with the results. When printing both sides of the paper I could see some dense black areas show through to the other side but it was at an acceptable level especially when considering the thickness of the paper. The photos, which included photos of black products, printed very well with great shadow detail. The printing profiles that I downloaded from the Red River website were right on the mark. So far, I have used this paper to create quick product handouts for the Sales department. I plan to keep this paper in stock and available for the appropriate projects.

I'm sorry to hear that this paper is being discontinued... it's been my go to paper for book making. I can impose the pages double sided on a 17x22 sheet to make an 8 or 16 page signature. I hope your next version of this opaque but lighter weight paper is as good. And maybe offer a grain-short version? I've never been disappointed with red river - the only papers I use!
