Watch Out For Red River Profile on Full Bleed Book Layouts
I used this paper to print a series of zines of my work. The quality, color, and tonal range of this paper was excellent and exceeded expectations. However, when printing full bleed on an Epson 3880 I got these pretty awful streak marks (mostly on the curled side of the paper) from the head hitting the side of the paper causing mild to severe smudging of ink on one side of the paper near the edges. This is mostly a printer issue, but I wouldn't have had this issue at all had the Red River Profile that is recommended for this paper not coated the entire sheet of paper including the non-image parts. If full bleed is what you want I would advise creating a custom profile to try and remedy this situation which is a shame considering the Red River Profiles really are excellent aside from the full page coating they do with full bleed book layouts.
