Premium Gloss 120 Details & Information
Premium Gloss 120 is the next version of our lightweight Premium Gloss paper. The original version was discontinued by our paper mill after more than 25 years of production! This replacement is similar in terms of look, weight, and thickness. Premium Gloss 120 prints significantly better with pigment inks compared to the original.
Premium Gloss 120 is a lightweight, cast-coated inkjet gloss. Cast coated paper is the "traditional" inkjet gloss that feels more like a sheet of paper than a photo. Premium Gloss features a smooth, reflective printing surface and a bright white tone.
Premium Gloss is a great choice for photo magnet makers. It has the right weight and thickness to work seamlessly with your magnet making machine.

Don't know if your printer is pigment or dye? Refer to your printer manual or manufacturer's website.
What if my printer has mostly dye inks and a single pigment black? This paper is still compatible for photo printing. Black text may not look perfect as your printer uses the pigment black for text in most cases.
* Matte coated and cotton papers over 60lb. may not feed consistently and may require some hand feeding.
* Many 24" and wider printers have a minimum sheet size of 8". Consult your manual before buying smaller sizes.

Greatest print quality

Even comparing the paper much more expensive, this paper has the greatest and sharpest print quality. The blacks are incredibly rich, and even small text is sharp and legible. 100%
Fun in the Laminated Sign Making Shop
Kirk Poschman, Mar 08, 2026
I make signs and posters that are heat laminated. By the nature of the lamination process, the edge must bond with as little of the laminate outside the printed material as is possible. That means that the thinner the paper, the smaller the clear lamination margin. But the paper must also print the image as finely as is possible. Ideally 20 lb. copier paper would be the best lamination, but it does not generate an image any where near the quality as the Premium Gloss 120 and or the Pecos River Gloss 155 do. The Premium Gloss 120 is therefore the happy medium between image quality and thinness for lamination.
