Great on greeting cards, so.....
I originally purchased this paper as 7 X 10 greeting cards. After printing well over 100 cards, with various types of images, I was very impressed. I decided to take advantage of the overstock sale (33% off) and ordered 200 sheets of 8.5 X 11. I am excited to try some of these same images on the larger format. I will be using it to produce photo books as Christmas gifts

RRP 155 Gloss - Picture Perfect

Chuck Dugan, Feb 19, 2026

For my AAAZ Annual Astronomy Calendar, I have some very specific requirements. The 155 Gloss is perfect for high resolution images on one side, while on the opposite side, I need a printable matte finish for easy calendar markups. The clean, no-smudge surfaces are the perfect interior page paper.

Excellent paper

Jasper Harris, Feb 16, 2026

The quality of this paper is excellent. The colors are shown and are very bright.

Better than 99% of the gloss papers

Kirk P, Jan 10, 2026

The color retention is excellent when a gloss paper is needed. I have some prints that have been hanging up for 55 years; I reprint them with this paper for the next 150 years.

Print my own cards

Bruce Leslie, Nov 13, 2022

I'm new at this and was exploring ways to have Thank You cards of my photographs printed as a packet to thank those who have supported any of my multiple projects. One of my friends introduced me to Red River Papers and showed me how to print my cards.

I am so proud of my new photo thank you card packets and grateful to my friend, but also to Red River Papers for producing such excellent quality papers that make it easy to thank people personally and creatively.

Good proofing paper

Peter Grace, Jul 16, 2022

As a lighter weight paper for testing out prints, it's great. I've made a couple prints on it so far and it has met my expectations completely. It fed through my Epson P900 just fine and the profile accurately reproduced my images.

Very good for proofing

Marc Sitkin, Nov 02, 2021 - https://www.marcsitkin.smugmug.com/

Paper and profile work well together in a Canon Pro 1000. No problems with the printer transporting the paper, and the manufacturer's profile seems to spot on with both production photos and a standard test image file.

I am so happy that I found this paper! I use it for my party favors business, and it works out great! The paper is high quality and has a nice glossy sheen to it. I will definitely keep coming back for more of this paper. Thank you so much!

Great everyday photo paper

Cheryl Pyne, Sep 01, 2021

I needed a paper that was good, yet economical for adjusting colors on my printer and trial photos. This fit the bill. I will use it to make some special photo books for my grandchildren because it is lighter in weigh, yet prints like the more expensive paper. Thanks

Really great paper! Also great price!

Leslie, Nov 08, 2014 - Grand Junction,, Colorado

I thought since this was on sale I'd throw in a box just to see what I thought of it. WOW! It is fabulous for my scrapbooks and mugs; light and flexible like brochure paper but looks like regular photo paper. I've changed my go-to scrapbook size to 8 1/2 x 11 so I can use this, it is wonderful. Must order more....

Great all-purpose paper

Frank Norwood, Jul 12, 2014 - Carbondale, CO

I own an art gallery and use this paper for proofing ads, small signage and printing handouts for customers ( and potential customers). It's a little light-weight, but easy to use and prints with true color. I bought 6 or 8 boxes a couple of years ago, and am finally running out, because I use it for everything. I highly recommend it as an excellent product.

Excellent "every day" photo paper

JPH, Feb 10, 2012 - Richmond, Utah

I just received my shipment of Pecos River 42 lb. glossy paper, and so far I have run three prints with it. So obviously this won't be an extensive and detailed review. Basically, the paper does exactly what the description says. It is really good every day printing paper. The colors match very well with the Ultra Pro Gloss paper, which I really like. This Pecos River paper just doesn't have the punch that the other does, but it isn't supposed to and I didn't expect it to. I'm going to use this new paper primarily for proofs. I have found in the past that I make quite a few mistakes in my postprocessing, and consequently I've made some bad prints that were easily corrected. The Pecos River paper is going to help resolve that problem. And I will use it for display prints at times. I don't have a big printing budget, so the PR prints will in many cases be "good enough" for what I need. Overall, I think this is a good choice for its intended use. Much better than some of the other papers that I have tried in the past. At least I know I can count on the color rendering and overall quality of the photo. You cannot go wrong with the PR paper.
