New Trinity Velvet 315 is excellent with color

Marcia Ciro, May 01, 2026

Just tried this paper for prints in an upcoming show that have a lot of detail and color. Trinity Velvet printed them beautifully! Will definitely be using this paper for color prints. (haven't tried B&W yet).

Great Paper Great Price

Jerry Byrum, Apr 22, 2026

I am new to the professional world of printing and RedRiver paper has taken all the guess work out of it. This paper makes some beautiful pictures. With this large format, I am now making my own frames to fit the paper. Thank you RedRiver for all your product and support.

My Paper selection with new printer

Thomas Jaeger, Apr 20, 2026

I have done an extensive review of several recommended suppliers for art papers from some of my associates. I had started out with Epson since they are the supplier of my new printer "Epson ET-8550". I started out with a sampler of their legacy sampler: Legacy Platine, Legacy Baryta, Legacy Fibre,
Legacy Etching, all are beautiful papers and I used the preloaded profiles from Epson to initiate testing. The colors were not consistent across the different papers; I then went to look for equivalent ICC profiles for my printer and the papers. I found Canson was the maker of two papers and Red River appeared to be another. With that in had I employed the ICC profiles where each was recommended, voila, the colors matched my display and were close. With results of that testing. I came to the realization that I needed to work with a company that made the paper and provided the ICC Profiles for each paper and my printer. From one of my professional associates, I had recommendations for Canson, Moab, Marrutt, and Red River. My associate loved the Epson papers notably the Legacy platane and fibre but did not recommend them for the Epson ET-8550 because they were optimizing for pigment inks and said there were better choices and lower cost.
I first bought paper from my local camera shop since they were able to compile a sample set from there print stock. Hahnemühle and Promaster. I had to use equivalents for Promaster since they did not have ICC profiles for the Epson ET-8550, I love their Metallic but after testing several Promaster papers I found my results inconsistent and Promaster announced they were not supporting Sheet paper.
I went to Hahnemühle for their ICC profiles and I was disappointed across the range of papers, apparently Hahnemühle did not take the Epson ET-8550 as a serous printer and created half-baked Profiles inconsistent and colors were way off and cost was at the top of the range. While some were close, it did not warrant more effort from me! I then secured ICC profiles and Sample sets from Canson, Moab and Red River Catalog. All performed admirably, consistent and accurate color. All offered different textures Matte, Lustre, Semigloss and gloss It all came down to cost. Red River Catalog was the most cost effective and had discounts on different papers for promotion. My results on every different paper type in the Art paper spler, were color accurate, tone and offer a range of textures and paper weights. Aurora Natural had a discount at the time so I made a purchase for every day stocking, I was not disappointed! I have since receive two more sampler sets from Red River Catalog that I am evaluating other varied photo subjects
