Awesome for cyanotype!
Hey this film is fantastic for cyanotype contact negatives! I've been printing them with my Epson ET-8550 (dye-based, OEM inkset) and the ink density is more than sufficient for cyanotype exposure. And I love that it comes in a roll, so that I can cut different sizes as needed.

Transparency PET inkjet film

Adam Kaplan, Feb 15, 2026

This product worked well in my Canon prograf II. . When I purchased the printer, it would not recognize completely clear inkjet films. The red River film is translucent and works well with the printer as well as my silkscreen projects

transparency medium

I’ve just started working with this and want to eventually produce clear imaging under plexiglass with a frosted back. Very happy so far with it.

Great for making prints to put in the window

Daniel, Mar 31, 2025

I was interested in making some backlit prints with this material. My idea is to use double glass frames to hang in the window so the sun shines through the print. I made one print so far of a forest scene and it looks nice against the window. you can get a set of 6 or 8 4x6 double glass frames for $50 or so on Amazon if you are interested in doing this also.I had to disable the 'paper width check' setting in my Canon Pro-1100 to get it to print. I believe the printer uses a sensor that has a hard time reading the width of the transparent media. Disabling the setting made it work perfect. You must take care not to touch the surface of this material with anything damp prior to printing. Gloves are helpful. The result was an awesome print. I am excited to experiment with this material.
