I love this paper for printing notecards. As conservation photographers, my husband, Rob Badger, and I used to use the Green recycled paper stock. We're sorry it isn't available anymore but this is a great alternative and our customers love the quality of our cards. We love that we can easily print specific cards when they are running low, create new ones and try them out. We never waste money, or materials, by ordering quantities of cards that may not sell. The profit margin using this paper is great. We offer over 30 different notecards at our live events and pop-ups, when we are promoting and selling our 12 time award-winning coffee table book, "Beauty and the Beast: California Wildflowers and Climate Change." wildflowerbooks.com

Amazing Capture on Black Ink

I print black and white illustrations on an inkjet Epson and this paper gives the richest black out of any paper I've tried. It looks like velvet. In addition to the color hold, the fine details don't bleed at all. Everything looks crisp and amazing. I was ecstatic when I tried this paper - I can't express enough how deep the black is on the Polar Matte. This paper makes me feel proud to put my name on my art.

Not your boring matte paper
Conrad Hoffman

This paper breaks the rules! Traditionally, matte papers have less dynamic range and brilliance than glossy papers. This paper has bright whites, deep dense blacks and vibrant colors. The surface reflects almost nothing, so it can work in difficult display environments and over wide angles. Just great stuff. My only caution is it can be hard to tell which side to print on until you learn the subtle difference in feel and reflection.

Great Greeting Card Paper
After trying several brands available at office supplies and craft stores, I decided to visit Red River Paper and order a box of this cardstock. I also decided to buy one of the printers they recommended. When I printed my cards I was absolutely surprised by the quality. The combination of the printer and the paper resulted in a 'store quality' greeting card which I'm now happy and proud to ship to my customers.
Thanks Red River Paper. I will definitely continue to buy from here.

"Using an HP Photosmart C4580 set to best photo quality, I chose Arctic Polar Luster as my paper choice because the paper's surface shows the saturation of the image in full, without distorting the shadow areas, and without the hindrance of reflection"

Archival Grade Paper
Papers with the Archival designtation can take many forms. They can be glossy, matte, canvas, or an artistic product. These papers are acid free, lignin free and can be made of virgin tree fiber (alpha cellulose) or 25-100% cotton rag. They are likely to have optical or fluorescent brightening agents (OBAs) - chemicals that make the paper appear brighter white. Presence of OBAs does not indicate your image will fade faster. It does predict a slow change in the white point of your paper, especially if it is displayed without UV filter glass or acrylic.
Archival Grade Summary
Numerous papers - made from tree or cotton content
Acid and lignin free base stock
Inkjet coating layer acid free
Can have OBAs in the base or the coating
Photobase Coating Acidity
Photobase resin coated (RC) inkjet papers always have a slightly acidic coating. The acid content (pH 6.8) makes instant ink drying possible. The level of acid content is not high enough to affect print stability over time.
The base stock of all Red River inkjet papers are acid free.
