Polar Matte excels with landscapes, black-and-white photography, artwork, design, and more. Its non-reflective surface eliminates glare, allowing fine details and tonal transitions to take center stage.

My go-to paper for photography

I like printing photos on matte paper and Polar Matte is my favorite. Since 2021 I have been printing photos, anime art and fine art reproductions on Polar Matte in sizes from 4x6 to 13x19 mainly on my EPSON ET-8550 and the results are great. I always print documentation and a QR code on the back side and this is easy -- I make a point to print the less inked side first and then print the inked side so it feeds easily when I send it back through.
Lately I've been printing business cards on this and the version with both sides coated and the results are great!

I printed several styles of art (deeply saturated color, light and airy) and all look amazing. The color is actually richer than it looks even on my screen.

Polar matte is the "standard" matte paper offering in our print lab. Most people we meet don't understand the difference between matte and luster and almost always turn away from matte - until they see how it make BW images POP. Our personal favorite for landscapes and high contrast portraits unless the client opts for one of our FineArt options (also RR stocks)
