"I like to print my squirrel note cards on Red River 60lb. Paper Canvas card stock. It's a great textured paper, and makes my squirrels really "pop" off the card."

Great quality

I got this paper to use with my Epson ET8550 and it is perfect! The colors show up beautifully and I love the matte texture. The paper is nice and thick but doesn't get jammed in my printer. I am always trying to be more eco-consious with my art business and I LOVE that this is made from reclaimed industry waste! Also- great customer service. One type of paper was missing from my order and they sent out a replacement the next day. 10/10 would recommend.

The BEST paper and profiles for my art prints
Ali Brown

I don't even know where to begin... HIGH quality paper, superb customer service, FAST shipping and affordable pricing. Red River has been my source for photo paper for over 10 years but just recently started printing my own prints and I am so happy that I have more control over the colors in the prints now. I invested in a nice printer and thrilled with the results I am getting. So far, all of my customers have been impressed by my prints saying they look so much like the original. If you're thinking about it, they make sample packs that are a great way to see what you like. :)

Why Change A Beautiful Product?

I have used Aurora Art White 285 gsm 24” rolls for years and loved it for my fine are prints! Nothing else compared - perfection every print on my HP Z3200 24” printer. BUT the newer 300 gsm is a disaster. SO frustrating that my printer just won’t accept the 300 weight. Hours of trouble shooting, cleaning feed rollers, creating new profiles, using up valuable inks and of course all that paper - gave up. The worst thing is that the 258 gsm is still available but only in CUT sheets - no more rolls!! As an independent fine artist the impact of this little change in paper weight is a BIG deal. I’ve been a RR customer for years and will continue to buy the gorgeous canvas on rolls but wish, wish, wish they had not quit producing the Aurora 285 on rolls. WHY, WHY, WHY ???

Reply to "Lovely but problematic"

I agree, a beautiful paper. My printer is the same as yours. I have not had difficulty printing this paper on Canon pro 1000. I print 17x22 and the feed is flawless. I use the free Canon software: Professional Print and Layout. It has been a game changer for printing exactly what I see on my computer. It takes a bit of work to get the layout correct, but once it is set, you can save it as a stored setting and use the next time. It seems to help this printer function as intended. I edit in Lightroom, then send the photo to the app for printing. Just a thought...

Lovely but problematic

I really want to love this paper but it does not go with my Canon Image Pro 1000. I have to hand feed each sheet one by one and push the paper in, otherwise the printer will not take the paper. It just wasted my time. I also experience an issue of having ink streaks on every prints when I print borderless prints or prints with a slim border. They are just unusable.

I use an Epson ET8500 printer. This paper is thick and requires using the printer's rear feeder. I was immensely pleased with how my photos looked on this paper. I bought the 4x6 for making cards. Works well with color images and adds a nuanced brightness. I used this for printing an image of a centuries old angel statue, and the smoothness of the paper made it seem you could reach out and touch the marble. I bought this at the same time as the Canvas Paper, and I'm quickly finding out which images work best with which texture and brightness. Both are wonderful.

More Problematic Changes To A Formerly Great Product
Ryan Simpson

I'm not sure why you keep altering this paper. It keeps getting worse from a performance and practicality perspective. Perhaps it works fine in a roll feed setting but in a sheet load setting it is becoming more and more unusable. The first time you changed it some 5-6 years ago, there was a massive increase in the amount of fine dust residue which causes slippage issues in the feeding process. I consisntatly have issues on both Epson and Canon Wide Format printers using this paper. The rubber rollers have trouble gripping the slick and dusty surface paper and the dust also then coats the rollers the more you print. This leads to having to constantly run cleaning cycles for the rollers just in order to use the paper. Now at some point in the last year or two now you've increased the weight to 300 gsm and discontinued the 285 gsm option. This is a virtually negligible weight increase from an aesthetic point of view. Virtually no person in the market to buy a print or produce a print will care about this weight difference, I highly doubt very many will even be able to notice the difference unless you very specifically point it out to them while showing them both weights at the same time. I can't imagine you had a lot of customers calling for this change. The problem is slight weight increase actually causes further and worse performance and practicality issues when actually trying to sheet feed print with this paper. The weight becomes an issue for auto sheet feeding, and it also becomes an issue with paper abrasion leaving ink streaks on every few prints increasing wastage. I wish you would consult actual long time high volume customers before making changes like this. It would seem you should even test the papers yourselves in actual usage scenarios before making changes.

Love this paper for Art Prints !

I use Aurora Art White 300 in my Epson SC P900 - using the front feed for thick art papers - and the results are beautiful, crisp, consistent colors every time. The surface texture is just right, and I love that I can print both sides. I have used a roller-applied print varnish (Breathing Color's Glamour 2) both on the top of prints and as a mounting adhesive, as I wanted UV and surface protection without framing under glass. Aurora Art White 300 has stood up to the challenge perfectly.

A wonderful paper on the Canon iX6820 printer

Before ordering for the first time, I had a concern that the Aurora Art White 300 might not go through my Canon iX6820 printer. I'm very happy to report that this machine had no problem with the paper. And what images! Just fabulous. I'm a happy camper and recommend the paper to you -- especially if you have this particular Canon model.
