A nice companion to Ultra Pro Satin at a great weight. As with all Red Rivers Papers, an excellent value.

I've been using RR since I can't remember. ALL of their papers have been top quality and perform flawlessly in my Epson Stylus Pro 3880, and even in my finicky Epson Artisan. My photos and artwork looks great on the Polar Satin, and all the other papers from RR that I have used. I don't actually buy photo paper from anywhere else these days. Shipping is lickety split fast too! Thanks RR, and congratulations on 25 years. Hopefully we'll be working together for another 25!

Another Great Paper from Red River

I have tried several papers from Red River, Arctic Polar Satin being the latest, and have never been disappointed. Besides the excellent quality, the packaging of the products is absolutely first-rate. I just wish everyone packed things as carefully as RR. Next for me will be matte finish paper. I am sure I will love it as much as the others!

Stands up to mistakes. I tried to use spray adhesive to Mount my photo and got some on froNt of print. Actually was able to get the adhesive off with believe it or not GoobeGone and the print didn’t come off. I wouldn’t advise trying this though:)

My Go To Portrait Paper

Arctic Polar Satin is my favorite for producing beautiful portraits. There are times a client requests a fine art rag, but 9 times out of 10, APS is what I use because it produces brilliant color depth and it has a shallow tooth which I prefer for skin. I’ve tried other papers and always come back to Red River because I find it just produces the best prints and my clients are happy with the result. Also, no curling with the 66 lb weight. Delivery time is superior as well. Excellent product; excellent supplier!

The color depth and ink rendition ability is excellent on this paper as it was on Ultra Pro At my studio I typically print with Ilford and Epson papers. Decided to give Red River a try ...very satisfied with the surface texture, paper durability. Red River does provide the specific profiles for each of the paper they sell but my experience being new to them is that if you are able to prepare your own color profiles you will have better results. It was a tough choice between ultra pro and arctic pro but wanted 44" roll paper as well that apparently arctic polar does not seem available- either one you will be happy

I do a lot of water photography while swimming in the surf and this paper creates the exact feeling of what it's like to be out there. This one and the Polar Luster Metallic really bring water to life.

My favorite fine art paper
Artic Polar Satin has been my favorite paper for a long time. It is equally good at both color and black and white prints.
I sell my images through galleries where quality is required, and Artic Polar Satin makes the grade.

Photographic Grade Paper
Photo Grade products are designed to look and feel like modern photo lab paper. Most photo grade media are resin coated, which means they have a paper core covered by a thin layer of polyethelene (plastic) . Plastic gives the paper its photo feel, stability (flatness), water resistance, handling resistance, and excellent feed consistency.
Prints on photo grade media are stable over long periods. With pigment inks in a protected environment, you can see up to 80 years on-display life. All RC papers are Photo Grade for two reasons. Plastic content is not technically archival by museum standards. Also, the inkjet coating of all RC papers is slightly acidic. It facilitates instant drying and does not actually change the stability of your inks over time. Virtually all RC papers have optical brightening agents (OBAs).
