Whether called Satin, Luster, Pearl, or Silk, these names almost always refer to an E-Surface finish. Just look to the nearest photo lab print and you will most likely see this pebbled finish. The DEPTH of this surface varies from paper to paper. The more shallow the depth the less you will notice the surface on a printed image.

Photobase resin coated (RC) inkjet papers always have a slightly acidic coating. The acid content (pH 6.8) makes instant ink drying possible. The level of acid content is not high enough to affect print stability over time.
The base stock of all Red River inkjet papers are acid free.
66lb. Palo Duro Satin features a slightly warm tone. This is because it has fewer Optical Brighteners (OBAs) in the base stock. OBAs are chemicals that make paper look bright blue-white. While they are pleasing to the eye, OBAs will stop working over time and cause what you perceive as paper yellowing, beginning at the edges of the sheet. Because Palo Duro Satin has fewer OBAs, the white point of the paper (its tonality), will stay the same longer. This means whites and light colors in your image will maintain their accuracy over a longer period.
