Red River's 8.5x11 scored card stock is your best bet for custom note card printing. The finished card will fold to 5.5" x 8.5".
Why this size? The smallest sheet your printer can use is 8x10. Our line of smaller scored cards will not feed or print properly in a 4000 or 4800.
Creative Option - Another option is to print two cards on one 8.5x11 scored sheet and cut it in half. Your resulting card when cut and folded will be 4.25" x 5.5" in landscape format (see below) A basic Photoshop template for this layout is available on our website.
1) Print two cards on one 8.5x11 scored sheet then cut that sheet in half.
2) Fold your cut cards along score line for 5.5" x 4.25" cards in landscape format

WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY ABOUT US
Quality Paper
I am so thankful that I found this site. I tend to buy a lot of paper each month and was looking for a way to cut cost without cutting quality and I found my solution with Red River Paper. I've never had any issues and the colors are vibrant on the paper. I will continue to order from your site.
Papers with the Archival designtation can take many forms. They can be glossy, matte, canvas, or an artistic product. These papers are acid free, lignin free and can be made of virgin tree fiber (alpha cellulose) or 25-100% cotton rag. They are likely to have optical or fluorescent brightening agents (OBAs) - chemicals that make the paper appear brighter white. Presence of OBAs does not indicate your image will fade faster. It does predict a slow change in the white point of your paper, especially if it is displayed without UV filter glass or acrylic.

Photographic Grade Paper
Photo Grade products are designed to look and feel like modern photo lab paper. Most photo grade media are resin coated, which means they have a paper core covered by a thin layer of polyethelene (plastic) . Plastic gives the paper its photo feel, stability (flatness), water resistance, handling resistance, and excellent feed consistency.
Prints on photo grade media are stable over long periods. With pigment inks in a protected environment, you can see up to 80 years on-display life. All RC papers are Photo Grade for two reasons. Plastic content is not technically archival by museum standards. Also, the inkjet coating of all RC papers is slightly acidic. It facilitates instant drying and does not actually change the stability of your inks over time. Virtually all RC papers have optical brightening agents (OBAs).
