Description

Big Bend Baryta (tell me more about the name) delivers the deep tonality, rich detail, and classic feel of a true darkroom print. Its smooth surface and subtle sheen are matched by a neutral white tone created using a 100% barium sulfate (baryta) layer, the traditional method that gives fine photographic papers their natural depth and character. Ideal for portraits and landscapes, this paper produces deep blacks, striking contrast, and gallery-worthy results. If you're printing for exhibition or final delivery, Big Bend Baryta sets the standard.

Big Bend Baryta 310 vs. Palo Duro Baryta See how they are alike and how they differ.

If you rely on the big-name barytas from Canson or Hahnemühle, Big Bend Baryta 310 should be your next choice. It matches their premium quality, comes in more sizes, and delivers greater value, guaranteed. Read the Big Bend Baryta review by the editor of Gathered Light Magazine

What is Baryta?

Big Bend Baryta's whiteness comes from a special barium sulfate variant called blanc-fixe, which means permanent white. This material is in the coating. It is inert and lends stability to the paper's whiteness over time. The coating and base materials are free of acid, lignin, and fluorescent brightening agents. Big Bend Baryta 310 gives you all you need for true exhibition quality photographic prints.
