We've used Palo Duro Etching for our fine art giclee prints (Epson) for several years now. We love the quality and our customers do as well. The texture of the paper is a huge upgrade to many other papers our there and it really upgrades our product. We have also always been happy with the customer service team... they are great and always quick to get on the phone.

I was stunned by the quality of this paper, it makes each of my limited-edition colored-pencil and oil pastel reproductions look like originals. The product information and all the help on the site with printer settings and custom color profiles are very valuable and helped me avoid the expense of a ton of experimentation.

Not knowing what to expect but being impressed by reviews from professional photographers and other artists, I placed a substantial first order for use in creating six copies of our annual family calendar, each month of which features an individual portrait or group photo. The prints I've produced so far leave nothing to be desired by way of quality; and the weight of Palo Duro Etching, also, makes for a piece that hangs straight on the wall without curling. Visitors describe the end result as lifelike and compelling. I was especially impressed also with the assistance I got from Leslie at Red River in installing their profile for this project.

I tried many diffferent papers for the different subjets and come to this conclusion: For colorful fine art images I like the Palo Duro Softgloss Rag. I love the unique finish and the way the colors and subject just pop. For my are images that have been edited with textures I love the Palo Duro Etching 315 It really puts my work on a different level of quality. Of course best part is the customer service I always receive from Red River paper, they are just the best!

Palo Duro Etching 315 is excellent for making giclee prints of my watercolor paintings. It is difficult to tell the difference between an original watercolor and the print. The heavy weight is also a benefit. I love it!

Used this for our Xmas cards this year. They turned out great! Printed on both sides with no trouble. Has a really nice feel in hand and much more economical than the previous online printing services for cards in past. Plan to use this paper more often!

Great paper for Reproduction Giclee Prints

I make reproduction prints for artists in watercolors, oils, and acrylics. This paper has excellent blacks and accurate color reproduction using the Red River profile, and X-Rite camera calibration, and has a great texture and weight. My clients rave about the accuracy and quality of their prints. Compared to the big name papers, I save money at no sacrifice in quality. My only minor complaint is that there is often a slight curve in the paper, which can cause some minor feeding problems. I have overcome this by using the posterboard feed on my Epson P800, and there is no problem feeding on my older Epson 3880.

I am a watercolor and ink artist and I've just started selling my prints at a local art gallery, Creative Spark Arts. I've been using this paper for my prints. This is my first time using a professional paper and I am really happy with the true colors I get and how well the ink stays fast. The paper feels really nice in your hands. You know you're holding a quality print with Palo Duro Etching 315. It really picks up the texture of the Arches watercolor paper that I use and along with the physical texture of the paper, it really makes you think you're holding an original! I am using a Canon Pixma G4010 series inkjet printer and I have been typically using the high-quality setting with the matte photo paper setting. I use the Affinity Photo program to tweak the scans of my artwork.

"I like to print my squirrel note cards on Red River 60lb. Paper Canvas card stock. It's a great textured paper, and makes my squirrels really "pop" off the card."
