I have been using the glass metallic paper for quite a while an excellent paper. Then I noticed they offered the luster metallic paper thought I would give it a try, The results are fantastic. The paper gives your image the sharpness the gloss but adds the perfect amount of softness as well. I am glad I gave it a try it will be in my paper rotation from now on.

I've been numerous places and have seen many marvelous things. For decades, my photos have languished in my "Pictures" folder...
This Polar Metallic Luster has provided an outlet for some of them.
I'm an enthusiast, not a professional. Even I can recognize superior results!

What about B&W
Ken Broussard
07/20/2022
I have been using Polar Luster Metallic for color printing but as my work has shifted more to B&W, I questioned the quantity until I tried it on some of my favorite B&W's and I decided to stay with the larger pack and try it more often.

I love the smooth rich colors but I think a specific ICC profile would be better than the manual tweaks I had to do for better matching.

I have been shooting and printing IR images for several years and discovered how dynamic the Polar Metallic papers make my images appear! It seems to give the images depth and detail that other papers I have printed on just cannot match.

Wow
I ordered this paper by mistake. Since it was here I decided to use it instead of trying to return it and thank goodness I did. The prints I made were wonderful, bright, and amazing. I will continue to order it in the future. It makes black and white photos sing!

Photographic Grade Paper
Photo Grade products are designed to look and feel like modern photo lab paper. Most photo grade media are resin coated, which means they have a paper core covered by a thin layer of polyethelene (plastic) . Plastic gives the paper its photo feel, stability (flatness), water resistance, handling resistance, and excellent feed consistency.
Prints on photo grade media are stable over long periods. With pigment inks in a protected environment, you can see up to 80 years on-display life. All RC papers are Photo Grade for two reasons. Plastic content is not technically archival by museum standards. Also, the inkjet coating of all RC papers is slightly acidic. It facilitates instant drying and does not actually change the stability of your inks over time. Virtually all RC papers have optical brightening agents (OBAs).
